Hi I'm Reid

I am a husband and a ping pong player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life. My parents taught me while I was young the truths about Jesus Christ from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and from the words of the living prophets. While a teenager I decided to find out for myself whether or not what was taught was truth--or just good sense. That's when I gained my own testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and have worked hard to live like He lived. It hasn't been easy, nor has it been a smooth ride, but I pick myself up when I stumble and thank God for sending His Son--allowing me to repent and be forgiven of my sins.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after reading and pondering the Book of Mormon I prayed and asked God whether or not the Book of Mormon was true. I am a Mormon because God answers prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working in the church. I have been asked to fill a variety of assignments over the years and I live my faith by fulfilling those assignments as best I can. I live my faith through service (community and church) and through living righteously.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Reid
The Mormon life of a single adult is pretty simple: I get up, say my morning prayers, read my scriptures for about 20 min, and go about my regular duties (go to work, school, whatever I have going on that day). I get home and often times there is an activity that I can go to with fellow singles. It might be a sporting event, something dealing with food, or just good ol' socializing. On the weekends I occasionally am involved in a community service project with my fellow single Mormons, and on Sunday I go to church, visit friends, and call my family. I generally have a calling in the church and spend a few hours a week on that calling (depending on the calling). Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Reid
Mormons believe that "eternal live" is living eternally with God and with our families. We believe that in order to achieve eternal life, we must be living the way God has outlined in the scriptures and to his prophets, and that we must participate in all of the necessary ordinances (like baptism).
