Hi I'm Eric

I'm a father, husband, DJ and comedian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born & raised in Utah. Served a two-year mission for the Church in Santiago, Chile. Married with 5 kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but there came a time in my life when I knew that if I were to serve a mission, as the Prophet has said all young men should do, I would need to know on my own that the church was true. I studied other religions, I read their scriptures - along with the LDS scriptures - and I prayed. One day I was at Youth Conference in Manti, Utah. I was standing on the temple grounds there, bearing my testimony of the Church and the Gospel and right then I knew, for a fact, that what I have been taught since my birth was true. I haven't doubted since.

How I live my faith

Having five children makes it difficult to find some quiet time in the house to read the scriptures. I wake up extra early to take advantage of the time to study the words of the Lord. My wife and I have also created a schedule with our children where we read the Book of Mormon and say a family prayer before we all head out for the day. By doing these little things, it helps me get through the day.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe that we are the same church that Jesus Christ formed when he lived on this earth. Our teachings are found in the Bible - prophets & apostles, baptism, the atonement, the sacrament, etc. It would be difficult for us to claim that we are the Church of Jesus Christ if we ignored the teachings of Him that are found in the Bible.
