Hi I'm Justine

About Me

I'm 25, sealed to my husband of over 5 years and don't yet have children, but really want to. I love children and working with them both at church and at school. I'm a teaching assistant, which I love, but don't work full time. I'm the sunbeam teacher in my ward, which I also love, and have a lovely little class. I love sport, to watch and to play, especially football/soccer, which I play twice a week with other members. I support Sunderland AFC and like to go to matches when I can. My favourite hobby is going to the gym, I love it, and am therefore quite fit and healthy. I work out pretty much every day except Sunday, and do about 2-3 classes a week on top of that. My trainer was so impressed with my progress and work ethic recently, he gave me a special award and did an article about me and put my picture in a fitness magazine. I find I now enjoy things that I used to not like, for example going out for walks and running, and recently tried rock climbing for the first time, which was fun. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my friends, so we formed our own book club, which I look forward to each month, as we always have a great time and is good, wholesome fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church so have been going my whole life. I'm second generation and my whole family are members and are active in the church. I did primary, young womens, seminary, YSA and institute and then got married in the temple to a returned missionary. Everything that was expected of me and I was taught I should aim for my whole life up to that point. I didn't just do these thing because my parents and leaders told me to however, I did them because I wanted to and because I knew it was right, and I couldn't be happier. I am eternally grateful for this, as I know it has made me a better person. I have a great testimony of prayer, reading scriptures and tithing because I know they all work, and have personally seen the benefits and blessings in my own life from doing these things. I have had so many answers to prayers and seen miracles occur, which I know are a direct result of the faith of myself or others. My husband and I have been blessed financially because of paying tithing, especially during hard times when he was out of work. I don't know how we managed to get by, it makes no mathematical sense, and yet we did and were able to remain relatively self-reliant and not go into debt, because we trusted in the Lord and his plan for us. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us and we need to trust in him. I know I'm here for a reason, in this town, in this ward, in this house, because He has led me here.

How I live my faith

I'm very fortunate to live very close to a temple and am able to attend on a regular basis. I try to attend once a week and find when I do I feel so much better and at peace, because I know I'm doing God's work and a great service to people who have been less fortunate than myself. .The commandments, word of wisdom and everything the prophets tell us to do just make complete sense to me, and I have been blessed immensely for doing these things. I have trials just like anyone else, some of them almost seem unbearable at times, but I know I have everything I need to overcome them, including a wonderful family, friends and leaders. I know bad things happen for a reason, because all the bad things that have ever happened to me have helped me to learn and to grow and have usually resulted in something better further down the line. I love my ward and look forward to going to church each week, and other church meetings and activities, because it's just where I want to be and means being with people who I love and want to be around. I have inspired leaders who I know are called of God, and are exactly who I need to lead me personally at this time.
