Hi I'm Ernest Parker

I am a fifth generation Mormon, and live in the Salt Lake Valley and started a charity to help disabled people.

About Me

I am currently the president of a charity called Ability Found (AbilityFound.org) which donates durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs to individuals who are disabled. I love oil painting, writing histories, genealogy, talking to people about the Mormon Church, going to our temples, traveling and spending time with my wife Anneke, my 5 children and their 10 grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, it is the Church of Jesus Christ on earth. Its teachings are pure divine truth from God, that give me absolute knowledge to guide my life. With it I understand where I fit in earth history and my potential after I die. It provides time proven commandments from God that bring me peace and joy. I am a Mormon because in this church you find prophets called by God. Members within the Church hold priesthood power and authority from God. With this priesthood power I have received covenants (sure promises from God) that will bless me in this life. Living true to these covenants gives me hope that he will bless me and my family after I die.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I have entered into His covenant through baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and try daily to live true to his teachings. Each day, I pray personally and with my wife, read the scriptures, and serve others either through the Church of Jesus Christ, in my neighborhood or through Ability Found, helping those who are disabled. Whenever possible I love to tell others about Christ, His Church and His teachings.
