Hi I'm Ruthanne

About Me

I'm a mother of five and a very proud grandma of ten. I live in the western United States and love spending time with my family camping and fishing. We live in a rural area and have dogs and horses.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ brings in my life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has taught me about the purpose of life and its meaning. It gives me the opportunity to serve and to become more like my Savior.

How I live my faith

I serve the youth in my church as the adult president of the young women organization for girls ages 12-18. I teach lessons on Sundays and help plan mid-week activities. The purpose of these youth programs is to help young people draw closer to Jesus Christ. I have grown to love these wonderful teenagers who give me hope for the future. Serving the youth is very rewarding and makes me happy.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Families can be together forever. Our loving Heavenly Father has provided a way that we can be with our families eternally. In our temples husbands and wives are married or "sealed" not only for time but, for eternity. By keeping God's commandments, following Jesus Christ, and making and keeping sacred covenants we truly can be with those we love the most forever. What a wonderful blessing! Show more Show less
