Hi I'm Shalece Elynne

About Me

I am an artist. I own my own business where I produce fine art, home decor art and graphic designs. I am also a dancer. I enjoy doing choreography and participating in a dance team.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I know it is Christ's true church, lead by Him and His living Apostles and Prophets. I know because I have studied and fasted and prayed to know the truth and I have felt the confirming witness of the Holy Spirit in my heart. As I obey the Lord's commandments, as taught to me in His church and scriptures, I receive a personal witness of their validity by the feelings of peace and joy and love I receive. My great-great grandparents travelled to Utah from Denmark back in the 1800s because they also had this conviction of the truth of Christ's church. I thank them for a legacy of faith that continues to bless my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by focusing first on my relationship with Jesus Christ. I grow closer to Him daily through prayer and scripture study and through repentance. I love studying the Book of Mormon and the Bible because they increase my knowledge of and faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I love participating in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every Sunday at church meetings as I learn and teach the gospel and strengthen friendships. My favorite place to go to feel the Holy Spirit is one of the temples. These are places of peace and quiet where I receive answers to my deepest prayers and questions. I feel how much the Lord loves me as I attend His house weekly.

What is the priesthood?

Shalece Elynne
The priesthood is the authority and power to act in God's name. A man can only have this power if he has become worthy through the Atonement of Christ. This priesthood power allows men to do great works, like healing the sick and performing sacred ordinances in holy temples that join families together forever. The priesthood is only to be used in righteousness, love and patience. Show more Show less
