Hi I'm Laurie Denise

My husband and I had just had our first baby and we wanted to make sure that she was taught correctly about God and Jesus. We were not members of this church, but were members of another faith. We were searching for answers that we could not find in our church at that time. My husband was a professional boy scout while finishing his studies in law school. He worked with many different churches in the scouting program. He was always so impressed with the Mormon Church scout units that he worked with. We decided to look into other churches to find answers to so many questions we had. We decided to call our local Mormon church and visit them one Sunday. We attended their Sunday programs and knew we had found the church with all of the answers we had been searching for. We were baptized 3 weeks later and have been so happy with the wonderful changes it has brought into our lives. We have 5 children that we have raised in this church, and have been so thankful for the knowledge and insight that it has given us over the many years since we have been members.

I try to follow the teachings of the Savior, Jesus Christ each day. Being a member of this church is an everyday way of life. It creates within you a desire to follow all of the teachings of the Savior by being obedient to his commandments.
