Hi I'm Ken Konecki

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert of the church of about 20 years. I learned of the church when I met my wife who was raised Mormon. I have two boys who are growing too fast. I work two jobs so that my wife can stay home and raise our children. I work as a forklift driver at a production plant, and I own my own web design business. For fun, I ride my motorcycle, hang out with the family, read, take naps, and watch movies and write. not in that order

Why I am a Mormon

I was not searching for a religion when I found the Church, I was searching for a better way to live. I met my wife when I was trying to clean up my early life of parties and carelessness. I prayed to God to help me meet a "Good Woman" to help me get out of my circle of destruction. After countless attempts and praying, I met my wife. We fell in love. For a year I researched that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and felt like it might be true. It was when my heart was touched by a missionary that I allowed myself to truly hear the gospel and accept it as true.

How I live my faith

One of my jobs requires that I work half the Sundays each year, so when I do have Sundays off, I make sure I go to church and fellowship with people who I might not have seen for a month. My oldest son and I home teach a great family. I also serve as a secretary (keeping calendar dates and stuff) for our young mens program for kids 12 years old to 17 years old. Its nice to work in the young men's program because my two boys are involved, so when I am serving others, I am also spending time with my boys.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Ken Konecki
The gift of the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit, is the constant companion to receive personal inspiration and revelation. Everyone can be inspired by the Holy Ghost, no matter their faith, however, the gift of the Holy Ghost is a blessing given through baptism. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Ken Konecki
No, and I love answering this question. Mormons enjoy to serve other people regardless of what they believe or not. Helping other people is not only a principal of the Gospel, it feels good and right. You might be surprised too, that many Mormons serve discretely. Helping other people is not about glory, it is about doing the work of the Lord. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Ken Konecki
No, and I love that so much. The Church is political neutral, which is good, because politics change so much and there are great people in all parties. Show more Show less

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Ken Konecki
I believe stopping the spread of pornography begins with yourself. I work at a production environment which is mostly run by men. Pornography and filthy language is so prevalent throughout the production plant it is almost impossible to avoid. A simple way that I believe I have made a difference is that when I do come in contact with inappropriate pictures and language, that I turn my head, or walk away immediately. Throughout the years, people have come to appreciate my stance on avoiding such things and make adjustments to how they talk and share pornography around me. Show more Show less
