Hi I'm Liz King Bradley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of God, a wife, a mother, a musician, a public speaker, an emotional wellness coach. I have lived in CA, TX, GA, FL, UT, and NE. I love music that helps me remember and feel my connection to God. Since He is my spirit Father I am connected to Him and there is something divine in me. I seek to bring that divine in me to the forefront of my life (my actions, my aspirations, my words, thoughts, feelings, etc.) In my professional life I see to help others do the same. When people know who they really are, they can live happily in whatever circumstance they are in. As a young child I experienced abuse at the hands of a neighbor and it left me scarred for a long time. I dealt with it and forgave the "perpetrator", forgave myself for perceived wrongs, and planned a healthy and happy life. When I got married and had children I wanted more than anything to be a good wife and mother and to connect with my kids to provide a loving environment for their growth. My past hurts came up to face me, I realized I still had baggage and some of it manifested in the way I reacted to my children's imperfections. I was really harsh at times and I knew I was hurting them. I didn't want to hurt them, so I searched and searched for answers, I prayed, read, studied- both religious and non-religeous materials. I found a lot of help in 12-step programs in conjunction with my own deeply held beliefs. Ultimately what made the difference was truly remembering who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the way of life that brings me closest to God. As I study scriptures, listen to trusted leaders who encourage me to find out things for myself, and participate in church activities I feel the divine in me better and my connection with God grows. As that connection grows I find that my challenges are still hard, but there is certainty in them, certainty that I am not alone and certainty that God is at work in my life and that everything does work out in the end. (If it hasn't worked out, it isn't the end.)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know that has made me happy and helped me to overcome the trauma in my life. I live my life by creating a loving atmosphere for learning and growth in my home. I live my faith by reaching out to others who suffer and offering them what I have. I live my faith by waking up each day and doing the best I can.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?
