Hi I'm TyraSue

I grew up in California and Utah. I am a high school teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Idaho, raised mostly in Southern California, and then moved to Utah for my last two years of high school. A year and a half after high school, I got married in the Provo Temple. I now have seven children, 5 boys and 2 girls. I also have 23 grandchildren. I married an identical twin, had fraternal twin boys, one of my twins had identical twins and my youngest daughter has fraternal twins. You might say twins run in the family! I teach high school in the subject of computer literacy . I am an FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) advisor through the school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with active Mormon parents and I have chosen to stay active in the church. My father was a convert to the church before he married my mother and my mother has been a member of the church all her life. To me being active in the church means to go to the Sunday meetings every week. I don't even hesitate every Sunday morning. I get up, get ready and go. I choose to do this because I know that my Father in Heaven wants me to be there to learn of Him and learn of ways to better my life in living the gospel. As a youth I, like many people, questioned the truthfulness of the Prophet Joseph Smith. After praying and reading about his first vision, and asking if it was true, there was no longer a question in my mind. I knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he did see God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. My prayer was answered in knowing the truth of this prophet. I do have a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and what he did for me when he was crucified and rose again from the dead. He suffered for all my sins and I know if I try to do what is right I will be blessed in many ways. I am always trying to do all I can to learn more and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My husband is currently serving in the church as a Bishop. I love the blessings it brings into my life. As a member of the church I enjoy visiting other women in our community. I am currently serving the youth in the Young Women (girls ages 12-18) program of the church. It is such a blessing to help them learn leadership, how to come unto Christ and how to prepare for their future.
