Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 5 beautiful children. I work in the accounting and technology field. I enjoy being outdoors. I love to fish, camp, and observe wildlife. I also enjoy woodworking and building things.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were some of the first to hear and accept the restored gospel. I know that much of why I am a Mormon is due to observing the faith of my parents and grandparents. Still, it was a personal decision to be baptized and continue to live the gospel in my own life. I can't say when I gained my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have always had a peace in my heart that it is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that because of Him, I can return to live with my loving Father in Heaven. I know that God answers my prayers and the prayers of all of His children. I know that there are prophets on the earth today and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I suppose that regardless of my heritage, knowing these things I have mentioned above and feeling them in my heart is the ultimate reason I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of the great things about being a Mormon is that we all work together to serve the Lord. Currently I serve in a calling with the young men of the church. I love seeing their energy and willingness to help and serve others. Being around these young men gives me great hope for the future. I also have the opportunity to serve as a home teacher with my son. As home teachers we are able to visit 2-3 families each month where we share a spiritual message and make sure they are doing ok. We have also enjoyed being able to help with yard work and basic home repairs for a widow that we love to visit. I enjoy serving in the church. By serving in the church I am able to live my faith each day and it becomes more than just attending Sunday meetings.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

I believe that families can be together forever. I know that God loves his children and it just makes sense that he would want us to stay together as families. I've always felt that if our happiest experiences here on earth are with our families then Heavenly Father will permit us to continue to enjoy each other in the next life. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that we are created in the image of God. We know through the revelations in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and modern revelation that God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three distinct individuals. God the Father and Jesus Christ each have a perfect immortal physical body. God loves us and we are his spirit Children. Jesus Christ is our elder brother and loves us too. God the Father can hear our prayers and will answer them. Show more Show less
