Hi I'm Anne

About Me

First and foremost I am my husbands girlfriend - my favorite job! I am also mother to 4 beautiful and happy children. Most of my day is spent at home raising my kids and keeping the wheels of home and family running smoothly. For me time, I enjoy learning about healthy living and finding creative ways of making it sustainable in everyday life (which of course means it can't elicit moans and groans from the family!) Recently I've begun mountain hiking, an activity that had been put on the back burner for several years. I love it! Love the beauty and serenity of the great out-doors, and love that I can share it with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that when in the presence of truth, that truth is always confirmed in our hearts and our minds. I'm a Mormon because the princples not only make sense, but they feel right. I feel at peace, I feel the real love my Savior and Heavenly Father have for me, and I feel an increase in personal strength when faced with challenges. I have a knowledge of the truthfullness of the gospel because I see the real changes that have come when I live by it's teachings. To me, the most convincing aspect of being a Mormon is that we are all encouraged to seek out the truth for ourselves. If you are honestly looking for answers, have an open heart, and willing mind you can discover for yourself if what we believe is true or not.

How I live my faith

To me faith is more than a church I attend on Sunday, or the religion I was born into. I live my faith every day, it's who I am. I serve others (my family, neighbors, and community) because I know that through serving others my spirit is lifted and my burdens seem lighter. I pray throughout the day (both formal prayers and prayers in my heart) because it helps me remember to focus on gratitude. The more I express thanks for what I do have, the less discontent I am. Prayer is also a means of receiving guidance in my life, a form of meditation if you will, that helps me realign my life to those things that will bring me true happiness. I study and ponder on the words of the prophets - both modern and ancient, so I can learn from their experiences and hopefully avoid needless heartache, and learn how to have peace in my life regardless of my circumstances.
