Hi I'm Lyndon Grunewald

I work in Quality Assurance and Software testing. I love the outdoors and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 beautiful daughters and husband to a wonderful, creative and loving wife. I am a proud Canadian and love the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains. I am actively involved in my church through activities, volunteering and striving to live as Christ did. I had the wonderful opportunity to be called on a mission to serve the people of northern California and speak Laotian. I loved the area especially the Redwood forest, beautiful Pacific coast and the Napa Valley. But the people I served there is definitly where my heart is and most of my fond memories. After my 4 kids were born, I moved my family to the Canadian Prairies and went back to university to get my MBA while working full-time. I now run an African charity and love to visit our education support centers in Ethiopia, Uganda and Malawi. It's amazing to see their smiles from the simple things we do to help them be happy, healthy and successful in school. Heavenly father loves all of His children all over the world and uses our hearts and hands to serve and left others when we have been blessed. I've also traveled to Brazil, China, USA, Grand Cayman Islands and Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church as my parents are faithful members, but I did as Joseph Smith did as a young man and prayed and received answers to my questions to know that the truth is found on the earth within the LDS Church. I love to serve my fellow saints and know there is a reason we are here on earth and have a loving and eternal family unit waiting for us on the other side. I love genealogy and finding out about the wonderful people that have preceded me and paved a righteous path for my family to follow.

How I live my faith

I try to do what Jesus would do in the situations in my life. I love to learn Gospel truths and teach those principles to my children. I put others needs before my own and hope that when I see my Savior again he will say to me, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Lyndon Grunewald
YES.  I believe that as we near the end of the world that there is no greater time for us to have spiritual direction from a chosen servant of the Lord then right now. It gives me great comfort in this troubled world that I can look to the leaders of the LDS Church and know that I can hear the mind and will of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Lyndon Grunewald
As Adam and Eve found out, we are created after the image of our Heavenly Father and our physical bodies were a gift from Jesus Christ to house our eternal spirits. Thus that knowledge shows how important our bodies are to us and our progression through His Plan of Salvation. As we show our Heavenly Father that we are willing to respect our bodies that were given to us, He will trust us and bless us with more light and knowledge. Our bodies are temples, as referred in the holy scriptures, because through overcoming the physical desires and temptations of the human body, we can become closer to the Holy Ghost. Just like in ancient days, the Lord communicated with His chosen servants in the Temple, He can better communicate with us when we have clean bodies. Show more Show less
