Hi I'm T. Russell

I'm just your everyday, hard-working, God fearing Christian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have four children and fifteen grandchildren. I recently retired (again) and volunteer in the Louisville Kentucky Temple. I enjoy watching football, splitting firewood, and watching old movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I investigated a number of different religions in my youth. I felt that there was more information about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ than I was being taught. I wondered why there were prophets many years ago in the Old and New Testament but not in our day. I had many questions that I could not find answers to. Many things about religion did not make sense. I investigated The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was taught by a distant cousin. I was surprised that my questions could be answered and that the Lord has sent prophets in our day to lead and direct us.

How I live my faith

I serve on a council that oversees a large geographical area in the church. My role is advisory and administrative. I also am a Unit Commissioner with the Boy Scouts of America. I also have stewardship over four families in our church. I visit these families on a regular basis and help in time of need.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

T. Russell
The Bible teaches that a man cannot serve two masters. We believe in a lay clergy and that our leaders or ministers should provide for their own care and not be dependent upon the support of the members. Show more Show less
