Hi I'm Robert Brinton Jr

About Me

I am a father, small business owner and husband to a wonderful wife. Together we are raising 5 beautiful children, 3 little ones of our own and my wife's youngest brother and sister. Together we are trying to run a small business in tough times and just enjoy being together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

When ever I am asked why I am a member of this church I always reply, "because I prayed to Heavenly Father and he confirmed that this is where he wants me to be" For me it is that simple. I know that finding truth for many in this day and age seems very complicated. However, anyone that believes in God and has the faith that He can answer prayers, can ask Him the same question. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a family that taught me from a very young age to trust in God, but it wasn’t until I was a teenager that I finally prayed to get a personal answer for my self. And that is exactly what I revived. I can not doubt the response because I know it came from God. Nor am I swayed by the opinions or theory of “man” because my testimony and my knowledge came from the source of all truth.

How I live my faith

I love the many opportunities the gospel give me to grow and increase my faith each day. I find great joy in serving those in my church and community. In the last few years I've been able to serve with the Priesthood holders of the church, teaching primary to little 8 year old's and now work with the youth in the Boy Scouts. Each of these opportunities helps me grow and learn new things about myself and others. I love going to church to have my "spiritual batteries" recharged and then I try my best to take the things I have learned and share them in my day to day interactions. Everyone we meet can benefit from service, love and compassion.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Robert Brinton Jr
The Law of Chastity is God’s law of purity that has existed from the beginning of time. The basics of it include: Complete fidelity in marriage, abstaining from sexual relations before marriage, cultivating clean and uplifting thoughts, avoiding material that causes the influence of God’s Holy Spirit to leave us such as pornography, inappropriate music, movies, or literature. We believe that our bodies are sacred and that they should be treated as the temple of our spirits. In today’s society, standards of morality and chastity are constantly changing. The world is constantly changing what is “good” or “morally correct.” God’s laws and expectations do not change. His son Jesus Christ taught us that we are to strive for perfection and keeping His law of sexual purity and chastity is one way that we can show our love for him. Show more Show less
