Hi I'm Travis

I'm 24 years old, newly married, attending school, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently attending college. I'm majoring Communication Studies. I don't know exactly what I want to do in that field yet, but I feel that it is where the Lord has led me so far. My wife and I are expecting our first baby, and we're really excited about where our lives are going. We are indebted everyday to the Lord and His blessings of opportunities and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was originally blessed by my parent's decision to join the Church before I was born. I, however, had to gain my own testimony about the truth, and I did through experiences over time and by making the choice to believe first. Faith precedes the miracle! I had many wonderful examples in my family that caused me to want to believe, and then I asked God for myself when I was 19 about to go on a mission to Japan. The Lord answered my prayer and gave me an overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort. It was joyous, as it continues to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a happy example to those around me. I also strive to live my faith by applying Christlike attributes in my everyday life. When I was called as a missionary, I loved my name-tag. It meant the world to me to not only finally have my own name on the tag, as I had always looked up to missionaries as a kid, but to also have Jesus Christ's name on it. Since returning home from my mission I no longer get to wear my name-tag, but I still strive to have His name written on my heart daily.
