Hi I'm Scott Davis

I love to surf and play soccer. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in Oregon and have always been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and I have loved every second of it. I am active in many outdoor sports and I find that the Lord has blessed me with the ability to find the connection to Christ in all that I do. I know that Christ is my savior and to me that knowledge gives me comfort and peace in a confusing and dangerous world.

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing in the teachings of the church or the Book of Mormon have ever asked me to be mean or rude or differnet that what Christ has taught. I am a Mormon because I believe that Christ wants all of us to have faith in him and repent of our sins. I do my best to live my faith and I am not perfect. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that is it the true teachings of Chirst in purety and teaches everything that the bible teaches.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to treat everyone like Chirst would treat them. I do my best to practise patience and look for the good in everyone. I am not perfect but everyday I try to do a little better. Those days I mess up I pray for forgiveness and I repent of my sins. I thank my Father in Heave for his son Jesus Christ and pray morning and night.

What is the Church's position on abortion?

Scott Davis
We are all children of God and we all deserve a full chance to learn from this life. None of us should end a life earlyer then God has indicated. I know that we all need to come to earth to be given a body and a chance to learn and grow, that is our purpose to our life here. We are here to prepare to live with God again. None of us should deny someone the oppertunity that God gave us. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Scott Davis
I can promise that if you or anyone in the world will read the Book of Mormon they will gain many things. You will gain a better understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ, you will be closer to the Christ because you will better understand his sacrifice for the world, and you will know that Christ lives today and loves us today as he did the people in the Old World. The Bible is the same way, it is a tool that Jesus Chirst has given up to know about what he taught and how he wants us to live. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Scott Davis
I always viewed the law of chastity as a rule telling me that sex and the feelings that accompany it are bad. Not until I was older did I really learn that this law given by God does not teach us that sex is bad, but that it's sacred and sacred things need to reserved for the right time. It's a law of wait until your ready. The appropriate time in Gods eyes is after one is married to the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. I'm getting married soon and I look forward to the day when my fiance and I can share that scared time together but we must be in control of the feelings that we have for each other.
