Hi I'm Christine

I'm a new Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent convert (Baptized May 24/2010) a single mom to a wonderful 2 year old boy. I work at a University and have a background in art that I'm hoping to revive exploring a religious focus.

Why I am a Mormon

When I had my son I knew without a doubt there was a God, but I did not know how to have a relationship with Him. I did a lot of research and became intrigued with the LDS as a 'living church' with a living prophet and focus on the family. Also everyone I knew of that faith lived enviably happy lives, eventually my curiosity lead me to a service, and then the Missionaries came calling. When the Missionaries asked me to pray to see if the Book of Mormon was true I received an overwhelmingly positive answer, not only was it true but God's love for us is true, and it's a wonderful thing. This was followed by concrete examples of both God working in my life and communicating to me directly through the Book of Mormon. The more you accept it and learn about it the more wonderful it grows. It's truly enriched my life tenfold.

How I live my faith

I never miss an opportunity to do a good deed and show others I genuinely care for them as they are part of my family here on earth. My favorite thing about being older and in a position of authority at work is I have the power to positively effect younger people's lives. The Missionaries have shown me this gift is not dependent on any social standing or age - everyone has the power to bring light and hope into another person's life if you'll let them.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

They've got awesome websites, jam packed with information. On Mormon.com you can ask a Missionary questions live without having them come to your home, on lds.org you can type in any question and get a wealth of incredible answers. Then of course there is real life Missionaries Show more Show less
