Hi I'm Preston!

I love singing, acting, filming, and photography. My family and I have performed together all throughout my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a community college student and I love to sing, act, and perform in any way! I have been in many plays and productions over the years, but I have also enjoyed working with teens in the field of behavioral health. I love to support my three sisters in their dream of making it big with their band, so I do media projects, such as filming and editing music videos for them. Lately, I have just been trying to figure out what I want to do with my own talents. My problem isn't that I'm not interested in anything, its that I have too many interests! I would love to continue to work in behavioral health, or possibly counseling, but I also have interests in history, literature, teaching, mentoring, and, of course, performing! I know that as I continue to walk forward, I will find my path and the place that I can be the most help to others.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were already members of the church when I was born, so that is the reason why I initially got involved, but it's certainly not the reason why I've stayed. I have had ample opportunity to feel the influence of the Savior in my life, and I know that he lives and loves us. I have felt the 'fruits' of his spirit Gal 5:22-23 and I know that he is the source of all truth. While in high school, I struggled to know what truth was, and with so many biased sources of information in the world today, I wondered where I could ever find the truth. Now, I find light and direction daily as I communicate with Him on my knees, through scripture study, and through the words of living prophets. I am spiritually 'fed' as I attend church and the temple each week and I have seen the stark contrast of not choosing to do so yet another testament of truth. I hope that you will take the opportunity to do the same, to take the promise found at the end of the Book of Mormon (Moroni 10:3-5). I did! I have read the book, and sincerely asked Him if it is true. I know that it is because of the joy that it brings to my life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living up to the things that I say I will do. The commitment I have made to try to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ, is a day to day, moment to moment choice as I try to listen to what He wants me to do. I know that I can have His spirit to be with me when I consistently do the little things that are so important to me in my life, such as reading the words of ancient and modern prophets, getting down on my knees and talking with Him often, and spending time with my family, working and playing together! I also love my ward! They are a great group of young single adults (singles between the ages of 18-30). I love to help in whatever way that I can. We have been asked to clean our church building on Monday evenings and I love working together to get this task done. We have tons of fun together at this, and at other activities where we get together to play sports and games!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries reach out to others because they have felt so much joy in their lives from living the teachings of Jesus Christ that they want to help others to feel that same joy! They want to help others find direction, hope, and a greater understanding of their creator's plan for them. Missionaries devote all of their time for eighteen months to two years to do this, and then continue to share the gospel throughout the rest of their lives as they raise families and continue to serve in the church.
