Hi I'm Aaron

I'm originally from Washington, D.C. I just graduated from law school, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Because of my dad's job, I grew up all over the place. Currently, I'm single and just graduated from law school. I love playing baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, basketball, and almost any type of board game. I've had a chance to do a lot of interesting things include live in the UK twice, intern in the UK Parliament, and tour the West Wing of the White House.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? I'm Mormon because I have put the teachings of Jesus Christ to the test and in doing so, I've found a lot of joy in my life. I find myself becoming a better and more compassionate person. But in turn, by treating others the way Christ would, I find that conflicts are better resolved and the world is just a little bit better.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? For one, I try to be involved in the Church. There are plenty of opportunities for people to volunteer and serve in the Church. This includes opportunities to visit and help those who might be sick or have other needs. But on a daily basis, I simply try to live as Christ did including trying to treat people as Christ would treat them. It's not much more complicated than that.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Like trying to find the truth of most things, one of the best ways to find out if Mormonism is true is to simply try it out. There are a lot of rumors and other misinformation about Mormonism out there. I encourage people to try it out and see what their experience is. Certainly, we as Mormons are not perfect. But by living the teachings of the Church which are the teachings of Christ, those who truly want to know if it is true will diligently try to apply the teachings and in turn will find a lot of joy in their lives. While we don't claim to have a monopoly on all of the good in the world, we can add a lot to it. So, come and try it out and see what happens very naturally! Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

At first glance, it might appear that way. We have a lot of respect for Joseph Smith for what he did and as a prophet. But we worship God and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is at the head of the church hence it's official name- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But just as Christ called Peter and other prophets and apostles to lead His Church, He also called Joseph Smith.. And that is why we have a lot of respect for him. But we only worship God.
