Hi I'm Jodi.

I'm a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and stay at home mother of 3 beautiful young girls. I'm an entrepreneur at heart! I love real estate and developing new ideas, which now includes a family focus. I am not blessed with any normal female crafts, I'm more at home in a home improvement store or skulking out the best deal! I love the challenge of taking something raw or in need of serious help and bringing out the potential I see. I've helped a defense contracting company start from the proverbial garage office to a multi-millon dollar operation. I'm drawn to family history and classic literature. I play the piano but enjoy true artists.

Why I am a Mormon

I am drawn to truth. I'm thankful for the restoration of truth through Joseph Smith that allows for truth as taught by Jesus to be on the earth again. When I read the Old Testament, I'm impressed that the God of the Old Testament cared enough about the Israelites to direct them in daily life and provide for their temporal and spiritual concerns. I know He still does that today through a modern prophet and apostles who warn and guide us in today as our Father in Heaven is an unchanging God. The restoration of truth has brought the sealing power back on the earth - the power to bind families for not just this life but eternity. I embrace the Book of Mormon for it's clear doctrine and re-read often of Jesus' visit to the Americas. Truly we do have a Father in Heaven and a Savior that love all people, regardless of time or place on the earth.

How I live my faith

The mark of conversion is how you treat others and of course the Savior taught us to be servants to all - motivated by love. That is my daily challenge, trying to live my life that way. Since I have young children, my biggest focus is my family. My husband and I work on our marriage and strive to keep the romance alive. It was an adjustment for me to be married and then a little over a year later have our first daughter. My priorities were suddenly not the circle of life - I had to care less about myself! It took me over 5 years to learn that the greatest work I would do was not defined how I thought it was - MBA and career and real estate amassed like men working full time could. As I've accepted life direction from a loving Father in Heaven, I've developed in ways I didn't expect and feel more fulfilled and satisfied with my life. I don't feel short changed at all. The more I do the Lords work the more I feel God's love and can influence others. My work includes teaching my children, having family dinners and daily scriptures and prayers with my family. I help people learn how to look for their ancestors. I just organized a day of service for Alaska, a wonderful chance to work in the community and share welfare principles but more importantly meet more people to love and serve. I try to have "eyes that see and ears that hear" to seek the individual each day I can uplift.
