Hi I'm Martin

About Me

I am a father of 5 children and one of the lucky men who married the perfect women (for me anyway). I live in Missouri and love the trees and water.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was 21 years old and a Junior in college. It has been a wonderful journey as I have grown in my understanding of Jesus Christ and felt his love for me. I was blessed when I met my wife and was able to baptize her into the Church as well. It is wonderful to teach our children about Jesus and help them understand who they really are; beloved children of a Heavenly Father. I could not imagine living with out the Gospel in my life each day. It has blessed me beyond measure made me a better father and husband. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and the living Son of the living God. He came to earth to do his Father's will and it is by and through Him that I may return to live with my Heavenly Father again one day. I know that through the restored Priesthood my family can live together, as a family, forever.

How I live my faith

I serve in the local church Ward as the Young Men's president. That means I administer the youth program for the boys, 12 to 18 years old. I love working with the young men and helping them with Boy Scouts and the many other activities we do. It is wonderful to see them grow in an understanding of our Savior and the roll they may play in his Kingdom.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Martin
I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, just like Moses was. God talked to his people all through time, old testament and new. I know that He loves us just as much as He loved them and He still wants us to know what His will is for us. I have listened to President Monson and felt the Spirit testify of his sacred calling. We do not worship the prophet, but take the words he says as if they came from the mouth of Jesus Christ, who is the head of this Church. Show more Show less
