Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Jonathan, an 18-year-old from California preparing to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the restored gospel and it keeps my family and I together forever. I enjoy the happiness this gospel brings me, and the opportunities it presents to bear my testimony. The Plan of Happiness presented as a fundamental part of the gospel just makes sense and is a testament that my Heavenly Father has a great love for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly attending church, reading the scriptures, and praying every day.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Because being Mormon is a spiritual commitment as well as a financial one. The Lord asks us to give 10% of our earnings to the church in order to sustain the eternal benefits of being a member. For me it is easy to pay tithing once you understand that all money is already his and paying tithing is just giving back to God something that is already his. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

You can recieve happiness, a testament that Jesus is the Christ, and many other blessings from reading the scriptures. One that I have noticed personally is an increased ability to focus on what is most important to me. Reading the scriptures really brings the everyday things I do into perspective. Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Because the temple is the house of the Lord, so it is a holy place. Thus, anything that is unholy cannot enter there. There is not something secret going on in Mormon temples, only something sacred. Baptisms for the dead and other ordinances such as marriage, sealings, and endowments take place there. Show more Show less

It contains spiritual guidance for all those willing to read it. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
