Hi I'm Aminta Cristina

First and foremost I'm a mom of three. I help people lose weight and improve their health. Someday I want a PhD. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I wish I could say I am a really exciting person, but I am pretty regular. I am the mom of three kids, wife of a great husband. I like to sing in the shower, draw pictures of things in nature, I used to study ballet (and I was pretty good. Not great...), and I have a secret dream of being a writer. My kids are my hobby and being a mom is the best thing I could have ever done with my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Mainly I am a Mormon because I have learned to listen to the still, small voice of the Spirit of God. In my life I have had a yearning to be more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, and to be close to Him. I have always loved Him. I feel He has guided me to being part of this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because it is the church that will best help me do that. The Holy Ghost guides me daily and as I have learned to respond to His quiet promptings I have found great joy in the Gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the "Mormon" church.

How I live my faith

I work in the women's organization of our church and help with the children's Sunday school every once in a while. I am part of a support group for mothers that meets twice monthly. I try to volunteer in my kids' schools and stay pretty busy driving my family to all the places they need to be.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Aminta Cristina
I know of no other organization that teaches the value of women and mothers as powerfully as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have had great experiences being heard, valued, respected and supported by leaders of this church. Being a mother is a powerful job and well respected. I feel that the role of women is frequently confused in our society and women feel pressured to find power in money and resumes. For me, being involved in this gospel clarifies my purpose as a woman and a daughter of a Heavenly Father. I find great peace in that knowledge. Show more Show less
