Hi I'm Andrew

About Me

I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world and we have two small children. I work as a pharmacist in a rural hospital. In my moments of free time I love building forts with my daughter out of couch cushions and making my baby boy laugh. Someday I dream of resuming my hobbies of backpacking, basketball, and tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon makes every other part of my life more fulfilling and enjoyable. I love being with my family and enjoy it so much more because of my knowledge that I can be with them forever. I love the work I do in pharmacy because of the Savior's example in serving and healing the sick. Perhaps most of all I love having the perspective that, when life seems very difficult, Jesus Christ has experienced all of my sorrows and frustrations. All of my difficulties seem manageable because of my knowledge of Christ and His Church.

How I live my faith

My faith in Christ helps me feel love for the people I see around me every day. I love talking to people on the bus, in the grocery store, and anywhere I may be. I try to find ways to brighten their day and help them feel that someone cares about them. No matter what else is happening in my day, I always make time for prayer and scripture study. These things help keep peace in my family and give me direction as I make decisions each day.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Andrew
The scriptures are the primary way that I have learned who Jesus Christ is and what He expects from me. When I am feeling frustrated with a person or a difficult decision, I can always turn to the scriptures and find peace and answers. I have found that the Book of Mormon in particular can always help me feel love and direction from God, usually within moments of when I open and start reading. It's not just the words on the pages, but it's the mindset I am in when I read the scriptures. It's easy for God to give me instruction about things as varied as buying a car, getting married, having children, homework assignments, and how to organize my time each day. God is willing to give instruction, and He often does so as we let Him speak through the scriptures. Show more Show less
