Hi I'm Adam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of 4 years. I am a daddy of a beautiful 2 year old girl. I am currently attending university, seeking a B.A. in Spanish Teaching and an M.A. in World Languages.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He lives today. He is my personal Savior. His Atonement is real and effective as soon as we believe in Him and repent. Our salvation depends on Him. We can live with our Heavenly Father again because of Jesus Christ. I believe firmly that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it is a fruit of the ministry of God's prophet, Joseph Smith. I have read and continue to read and love the Book of Mormon. It proves the Bible true. It confirms many wonderful Gospel truths and provides me direction to how to return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I believe that the authority to act in God's name has been restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. And through that authority, all the families of the earth can be blessed. Particular to my situation is my marriage that was performed by someone with that authority. I love to know that I can live with my wonderful wife even after we pass on from this life.

How I live my faith

I am an Assistant Scoutmaster. So I get to teach the 12-14 year old young men. I am also their advisor, so I get to teach Gospel lessons each week in their meetings. I am a home teacher. My companion and I have two wonderful families. One of them have members that are native Peruanos, so I get to practice my Spanish. I served a full-time proselyting mission to México.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is an record of the ancient inhabitants of the American Continent. It was compiled and organized by a prophet named Mormon. That record contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It follows the history of two main groups of people here on the American Continent beginning in about 600 B.C. and ending about 420 A.D. The Book of Mormon was buried by Mormon's son, Moroni, at that time. In 1823, Moroni appeared to a young man named Joseph Smith. Moroni told Joseph that the book needed to be translated. A short time later, Joseph translated the ancient record into the English language. The book contains a promise, that if you read it, ponder its message, and pray to Heavenly Father you can know that it is a true book. You can know that the book really does contain the fullness of Christ's Gospel. And by so knowing, you can know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore His church on the earth.
