Hi I'm Christie

I'm a Mormon. I'm a stay-at-home mom settling in with my family in a new country.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mother of three who likes to visit new places, read and write. (Hence, why I think it's fun to write this profile)! I always like to be in the middle of a good book or two for myself and with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon gives me peace in this often hectic world. It also gives me many opportunities to serve and learn, which help me grow closer to my family and my Savior. Being a Mormon motivates me to want to become a better person every day. Although we live an ocean away from family, we have a church family called a ward here to help us. This has been such a blessing!

How I live my faith

As a family, we try to pray and read our scriptures together every day. This helps give our children security and a foundation for their lives. It also helps unify us and give us opportunities for good discussions. When we found out we'd be moving to Germany, our daughter suggested that we start reading The Book of Mormon together in German. It was an inspired idea and has helped us a lot!

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Christie
All are welcome to attend Sunday Services at any Mormon church. There is instruction for whole families, including classes for adults and children. Just after the construction of a new temple is complete, anyone who desires may walk through on a guided tour during an Open house. Worthy Mormons may attend the temple after it is dedicated to the Lord. The temple is the Lord's house, a place where you can learn more of Him and feel His peace. Show more Show less
