Hi I'm Kimberlie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Kimberlie. I'm a wife to the most handsome, supportive, loving man around and the stay-at-home mother of a very sweet and VERY busy toddler boy and am expecting our second child. I love so many things in life, particularly my family, my religion, photography, dance, music, flowers, good food, good company, good movies and dates with my husband, reading, learning, going to the temple, and making others smile! I'm a home-body so I love to spend time at home with my little family playing games and eating popcorn. I'm hopeful, and love to dream about the possibilities that life has to offer and strongly believe that anything is possible if you put your mind to it! I'm grateful to have grown up in an LDS home and with the gospel in my life! I've had amazing experiences and am grateful for the education I've received up to this point and the opportunities I've had and continue to have to gain wonderful friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had the privilege of growing up in an LDS home with amazing examples of what it means to be a member of the church. It is because of my family that I, too, have sought out my own personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. For me, being a member of the LDS Church is more than just being part of a "congregation", it is learning about & knowing who I am. I have direction as a member of the church and I always find answers to every question that life presents. I seem to better understand many of life's challenges because of the knowledge that I have of the plan our Father in Heaven has for us. The principals of the gospel of Jesus Christ have always made sense to me & the Holy Ghost has always testified of the truthfulness of them. I'm far from perfect, and always need guidance & reminders of what the Lord wants me to do, which I know comes from attending weekly church meetings, serving in various callings, and attending the temple, among other things. I am happiest when I am living the gospel and trying my best to stay close to the Lord. I know He knows me better than I know myself which brings me great comfort & peace. I know I couldn't get through this life alone & I know our Father in Heaven is listening to our prayers & will always be with us. My husband & I want & hope for each of our children to seek & find their own personal testimonies as well & to develop a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do, and in every moment of everyday. I am always needing the Spirit of the Lord to help me make righteous decisions which I seek through prayer. I try to be an example of someone who loves & honors their beliefs by being obedient to the things I've been asked to do and by striving to teach those same principals to my family & others. I try to be someone that exemplifies our Savior, someone of faith, devotion, love, service, a peacemaker...someone people are drawn to. This is and will forever be a lifelong journey of mine, but I know that is why we are here so I am grateful for the process of learning.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kimberlie
There are many sites & resources available that teach us of the nature of our Heavenly Father, including the Book of Mormon, the Bible, the church website lds.org, LDS church meetings, LDS Temples & visitors centers, etc. However, in order to truly KNOW our Father in Heaven, it is essential that prayer be a frequent part of your daily life. Our Heavenly Father listens to our prayers and answers them through the Holy Ghost. As you pray often, your relationship with HIm is strengthened and you begin to have faith in His existence and in turn, faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. By seeking His hand & guidance in life, and by striving to live the commandments we've been given, we begin to understand who He truly is, and how much He knows & loves each of us and wants us to be happy.
