Hi I'm Michelle

About Me

I am first and foremost a Daughter of God, and I love being one. Secondly I am a wife and homemaker to my wonderful husband! Thirdly I am a mother and a homeschool mom. I love reading and I love being creative including scrapbooking, cooking, writing, decorating, singing, photography, etc. I enjoy spending time with my family and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and for the longest time I went to church and did the things that I thought I should do because it's what my parents expected. It wasn't till after my baptism that I started to take to heart what I'd been taught all those years. I began to see what life was like for those who were and weren't members of the church. I began to question my beliefs occasionally, wondering if it was all worth it, yet I continued to do the things required of me, though more then once I found myself unenthusiastic towards it. Around the time I turned 16 I took another look at my life. Through certain friends that questioned my faith, some of the same questions that I had had, I found my answers. Through defending what the church stood for, I found my beliefs in the church to be the root of all my answers. I realized the joy and happiness in my life through the gospel that I had not been able to find anywhere else. My life changed after that. I'm not perfect, I am far from it, but my faith and my beliefs carry me through and bring me constant peace and joy. I know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He atoned and died on the cross for our sins, that we might be forgiven and come to live with Him again. He is our friend, our mentor and our brother. His love for us spans eternities. He desires our happiness and has helped provide the way for that to be possible. I know that through His direction, Joseph Smith restored the true gospel with all its saving keys and ordinances on this earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, and that it is the most correct book there is. I know that the Lord continues to call prophets in this dispensation and that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today. I know that through baptism we can have our sins washed clean and through repentance we can continue to stay clean through Christ's infinite atonement. I know that the Lord hears and answers our prayers and is ever aware of our needs. I know that His hand is active in our lives and is ever reaching out for us. I know that if we allow the spirit to be in our lives and allow ourselves to love the Lord that we can obtain happiness not only in this life but in the one to come. I know these things with my whole heart, and say them in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

My current calling is being on the Relief Society committee board to come up with activities for the women in the ward to get together and learn and visit with each other.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Michelle
We believe that Joseph Smith was the first prophet called of God in this dispensation of times. We believe that Joseph Smith restored the true church upon the face of the earth in these the Latter Days. Further we believe that it was through the direction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that this came to be. In so believing this, it can be safely said that we the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints do solely worship God the eternal Father and His son Jesus Christ.
