Hi I'm Jeffrey Robert

About Me

I'm a father of two young boys, with another child on the way. I currently work full time, and will be starting up school again here shortly to earn my masters degree.

Why I am a Mormon

One day I decided to sit and write down all of the things that really mean most to me; the things in life that I am most grateful for. Most all of the things that I included in my list had to do with my family. I love my family and want to be with them forever. I've been able to find the answers of how to be a family forever (beyond death), and how to be happy together while here on Earth. I want my children to have good values and principles upon which they can base the tough decisions that they will have to face in this life. I want them to have a close relationship with their Heavenly Father and also to their Savior Jesus Christ, and to know that it was by His great sacrifice that we are able to be an eternal family, and return to live with Him someday. I want them to be able to feel the peace that I feel when I keep His commandments and seek to do what He would have me do.

How I live my faith

Remembering who I am (a child of God). Sounds easy, but that the hard part. In a world that constantly defines you by what you have, and who you know, rather than values and core beliefs makes it difficult. By constantly reminding myself and doing my best to help my children know that they are children of God by going to church, serving other, reading scriptures, and saying prayers it makes living my faith much easier. Also, by recognizing the many blessings the he gives to me and my family, and by giving thanks helps me remember that I wouldn't be who I am today without the guidance of a loving Heavenly Father.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jeffrey Robert
I think a verse in the Book of Mormon best answers this question: 26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. 2 Nephi 25:26 Some people are confused as to why we call the Book Of Mormon after Mormon if we follow Christ. Mormon abbreviated and compiled several records written by prophets that lived here in the Americas, and thus the book was named after him. However, the primary purpose of each of the prophets included in the Book of Mormon was to convince all that Jesus is the Christ and that it is only through him that any of us will be saved.
