Hi I'm Jason

I live in Canada with my beautiful wife & 2 daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am dad to two beautiful girls, and I'm married to about the best girl anyone could have ever hoped for. I work in the oil patch here in Alberta. I am interested in becoming a missionary full time for our Church, and I love taking walks with my girls.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 21 I met 2 mormon girls while volunteering @ a fundraising event in Sudbury. We became friends immediately & i was so impressed with their moral courage. My church taught what they were living, but from my experience no one I knew, except my new friends actually followed the teachings. They were so courageous to live those moral teachings in a world where values are mocked & undermined. So when I was invited to visit the mormon Church that Sunday it was a natural for me to want to say yes. I was drawn to their goodness and I wanted to be around good people. At Church that Sunday I met 3 missionaires who invited me to learn about the message of the restoration At first I was skeptical but I was open enough to study & pray, or in other words to see for my self if what they were saying was true. When God speaks to your heart it is undeniable. At first I did not fully recognize the feelings of the spirit. The answer kept getting louder until I realized that the Big Guy was trying to get me a message. The feelings of the Holy Spirit are described as fruits of the Spirit in Galatians chapter 5. For me the feeling of excitement & enthusiasm come the stongest, and thats exactly what I felt as I studied & prayed. I felt encouragement from the Holy Spirit to continue with the missionaries & accept the invitation for baptism. The feeling of the Holy Spirit has confirmed to me again & again over the years, right up till this very moment in fact, that Joseph Smith was God's prophet & that the mormon Church, officially called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints", is the Church of our Savior. I know that Jesus is guiding this Church & that a prophet is alive today, prepratory to His second coming. I encourage you to discover this for yourself.

How I live my faith

Right now I run the Sunday School program at my church. I also have worked with the youth in Scouting, and I loved teaching my 11 year olds. I was also a missionary in San Jose California for two years, and have done various other things with the church, from speaking to helping with the donations, and I love to go to the temple, we always feel peace there.
