Hi I'm Matt

I code stuff with my bare hands. I love bicycling. I've always wanted a penguin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in school for a degree in computer science. I love to see people and technology get along, even though sometimes the technology is smarter. I want to make computers easier to use. I enjoy good photography, music, art, books, and articles. History, including those events documented in the scriptures, is fascinating to me. Earning your trust is my most important interpersonal goal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but I think staying an active and faithful member is just has hard as choosing to join it later in life. To me, this really isn't about Church membership. It's not about "being a Mormon." I follow Christ because I believe in Him. It's about being a disciple and becoming like He is. Even though it's hard, I stay in the Church because, over and over again, Heavenly Father is there in my life. He is still a god of miracles. Through quiet revelation, I know the Church is true. It's substantial. I feel like I'm sitting down to a feast, and the table's filled with the purpose and truth of life. I don't get that offering from any other church. True doctrine is always filling. Other doctrines leave me wanting. Ultimately, I'm a Mormon because it is the only satisfying way for me to live. I love getting questions about my faith. If you find me online or in person, feel free to ask me about it. I know sometimes the missionaries and some Mormons may feel overwhelming about their gospel invitations, but I don't mind just listening and answering questions.

How I live my faith

I do my best to always follow Christ's example and include Him in everything I do.
