Hi I'm Kathryn

I'm an eternal optimist who values peace and kindness. I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a nice computer genius and I have three adult children. I've taught at the high school and college level, but now I'm back in college because I love to learn. I have spent the past three summers studying at a university in Poland. My favorite hobby is genealogy, but I also enjoy travel, storytelling, theater, music, hiking, and skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

The scriptures clearly teach that Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. I choose to belong to His restored church because I know from experience that His gospel is the way to peace and joy. His truth is the way to light and happiness. His life is a model that I seek to follow. A world filled with devout disciples of Christ would be a glorious place to live. There wouldn't be any crime or dishonesty. Children wouldn't be hungry or abused. Women would be respected and honored. I love Jesus Christ and I'm grateful to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I love teaching my primary class of 11-12 year old girls every Sunday. This year we are studying the New Testament. I love studying the scriptures and I love teaching about living the gospel of Jesus Christ with joy and gratitude. In addition to studying the scriptures daily, I pray at least twice a day. I prefer peace and tranquillity in my life, so I watch very little television and select movies very carefully.
