Hi I'm Christa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently returned sister missionary. I served for the last beautiful 18 months in Guatemala. I learned Spanish, and most importantly how to love God's children. Right now, I am at home in Utah with my family, who I love more and more as the days go by. I am 23, love to draw, paint, watch movies, read books, and sleep.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the church is true. I was raised in it, and didn't always know that. I relied a lot on the testimonies of my parents, and grandparents. They knew it was true, so I just trusted them. It wasn't until I was 14 and I read the Book of Mormon that I wanted to know. There is a promise in the book, written by Moroni. He invited all people who read the book to pray and ask with a sincere heart and real intent if the book were true. I didn't have to pray (though I did), I knew it was true. I learned even more through daily studying and prayers, and a beautiful mission, teaching people about the restored gospel that this is the true church. There can't be others. I know that God loves every single one of His children. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book, written by inspired prophets to lead us and guide us in our lives. The book teaches of a plan, a Plan of Salvation, promising to all that if they live the gospel, obey the commandments they will also be able to return to live with Him, and our elder brother, for all eternity as a family.

How I live my faith

Right now, I have to opportunity to visit other congregations and share with them, according to a topic (usually a scripture) about how I learned and grew on the mission, and most importantly about the love that God has for each of us.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Christa
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We know that he saw the Father and the Son, and that he restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth. This gospel includes the priesthood, the Book of Mormon, and other lost truths that the apostasy brought. We respect him like we do any other prophet... Moses, Isaiah, and others. Show more Show less
