Hi I'm Jonathan

I am originally from Montana, but now reside in Washington. I love the gospel teachings on families. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a software developer for a large financial institution. I've been married to my beautiful wife for 15 years and we have three children which keep both of us quite busy. I served an LDS mission to Guatemala where I learned to speak both Spanish and Kekchi. (a native Mayan language).

Why I am a Mormon

I have a long legacy of Mormon pioneer heritage on both sides of my family. My father was an attorney and my mother an English professor (before she was married). They are both incredibly smart people. And they both have devout testimonies of the restoration of the gospel. I saw my father serve in the church and I knew it was important. Before I left on my mission at age 19, I decided I needed to know for myself and not simply rely upon my parents. I read the Book of Mormon like I'd never read it before. A overwhelming feeling came upon me that I could not doubt the books authenticity. And because I knew the Book of Mormon was true, I had to accept that Joseph Smith saw what he saw and was indeed called by God to restore or bring back all of the many plain and precious truths the gospel of Jesus Christ has to offer.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is more than just a religion or belief system. It is a way a life. I know it has made my life so much happier because the gospel teaches me to serve others and most importantly my family.
