Hi I'm Lauren Virginia

I am a copywriter. I love people. I'm a documentary film fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy a variety of activities--life has so many exciting things to offer. I love sports, singing and playing musical instruments (I'm trying to learn the guitar), spending time with family and friends, art, being in nature, and cooking. I attended a university in the U.S. and got a job in copywriting. I'd love people and cultures -- if I could learn every language, I would!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a testimony of its truthfulness. Although I grew up in the church, there came a point where I had to decide for myself whether I wanted to actually live this faith. I studied and prayed on my own and felt the witness of the Holy Ghost that this church contains the fullness of the gospel on the Earth. I've also been blessed to see the changes that come into people's lives through accepting and living the gospel. My mother joined the church when I was in elementary school and our family was sealed in the temple a year later. I've seen the ways in which our family members have grown individually and collectively as a result of that decision (to be sealed). Our family has grown closer through doing things like family prayer and attending church together. I'm incredibly grateful to know I can spend eternity with my family.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a volunteer missionary for our church. It's the best "job" in the world! I love learning and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and getting to meet amazing people from all over the world!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Lauren Virginia
A testimony is a witness of truth. As members of the Church, once a month, during our sacrament meeting, individuals can share their testimonies with the congregation. In these testimonies, we witness of our knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Although this is a common time to share our testimonies, testimonies can be offered anytime in many different ways. Our knowledge of the truth of the gospel comes through the Holy Ghost, who testifies to us of God and the divinity of His church. We can obtain this knowledge through humble prayer and faith. Sharing a testimony can ignite and strengthen the faith of others. It's a beautiful and touching experience to hear someone's testimony. I always feel spiritually strengthened after our monthly testimony meeting. Show more Show less
