Hi I'm Marjorie

My name is Marjorie Bohlen I am a mother, wife and daughter and I am a Mormon...

About Me

I am a mother, a wife and a daughter. I have three wonderful daughters. I am a convert since I was 9 years old. Served a mission in New Orleans, got married in the Los Angeles Temple and plan to go on a mission with my husband when we retire. I am a Mormon and I love it....!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I had a wise father who recognized the truth when I was a little girl. Later after a period of inactivity I found out for myself that the church was true. That's when I served a mission and have never once denied my faith. I know this is Heavenly Father's church, restored with his Priesthood with Jesus Christ at the head of it. I know without doubt that Joseph is a prophet and that we have prophets today. The truth is here on the earth never to be taken away again.

How I live my faith

By prayer, scripture reading, being faithful, obedient and repenting all the time because I am far from being perfect. I know that the commandments are for our benefit and growth. I do not doubt my leaders, local or general. I want to serve my father by serving my neighbors. Only through service can we find out who we are.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Marjorie
Because our church is about serving our fellow man and personal growth. Everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. It's about being selfless and enduring. When a person is called to a position of leadership in the church he/she is there to serve. Jesus demonstrated this when he washed His disciples' feet. Any tithing or fast offering money that is donated goes to build His kingdom here upon the earth. To help build up schools, chapels, temples etc. to help the poor and the afflicted, to succor those who are victims of disasters. To help those in need of better opportunities.
