Hi I'm Jeff McKenzie

I'm a Mormon. I am a mining engineer with a family including 20 grandchildren.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City on May 15, 1949 and raised in Boise, Idaho. I work as a Mining Engineer with coal mines in Utah. I have worked in Mexico, Canada, China, Brazil, Indonesia, and throughout the USA. I served a Church Mission in California and my wife served in France. My wife, Karen, and I have 7 children and 20 grandchildren Our children have served Church missions in Holland, Norway, England, Taiwan, France, and Tennessee Spanish speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Church and I starting attending as a baby they both died several years ago. I studied and prayed and received a witness from the Spirit that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is HIs true Church.

How I live my faith

I serve by assisting the local church leadership and by meeting church members and neighbors to try to be helpful however I can.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Jeff McKenzie
Of course, preparedness is a great help in case of an urgent need, but it also brings peace-of-mind in this day-to-day world. Show more Show less
