Hi I'm Collin W. Hughes

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

About Me

I actually prefer to refer to myself as LDS. I remember often times when leaders of the Church have directed church members to not refer to ourselves as "Mormon", but as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I realized that most nonmembers only know about the church by its nickname. However, I think that is actually a good way to lead into a discussion of the Gospel. If someone says something about the "Mormon" church I will make a comment that there has never been a church officially named "Mormon Church." I feel it is a good lead into talking about the actual name of the church, which bears the name of the Savior. I feel it is important that members of the church express that Christ is at the head of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

Once again, I am not a Mormon. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. However, I am a member of the Church because I know that this church is lead by the Savior and that there is a living prophet on the earth in these latter days. I would not be alive today if I had not found the fullness of the Gospel and allowed the teachings of Christ to enter my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working to become a better person each day.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Collin W. Hughes
I do not know why we would not be together forever. We live our lives together here on earth and form a bond that should last beyond death. It only seems right that our vows extend beyond the grave. Show more Show less
