Hi I'm Seth

I am a digital marketing professional in Hollywood. I play on a championship community volleyball team. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three young children and love to spend time with them and my wife. I love sports and I try to stay as physically active as possible. I ride my bike to work and play volleyball and basketball when I have time. Other then that, I stay busy going through the honey-do list and love being involved with my church and community.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because first off, I have felt in my heart and mind that this is God's and Jesus Christ's church on earth (meaning, the exact church They lead and guide today). Those feelings and beliefs have only grown stronger and stronger as I live my faith and tried it out. More than 10 years ago, I thought that if God would send me an angel, telling me that this church was true, then I would believe it; easy enough for Him to do, right? Well, I have yet to see an angel but I have felt something stronger than seeing an angel; that very night as I lay in bed I felt an overwhelmingly good feeling, emotional even, that this was His church and teachings. Since then I have received nothing but happiness, strength, and love for those around me as I have been an active member. Things are hard and my life is far from perfect, but in these hard moments I still feel happy and blessed, all because of my faith in Jesus Christ and His church.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by how I act and think at home and in life. The church and the teachings of Jesus Christ provide all of the tools and direction needed to allow me to have a happy and safe home. I am not that bright, patient, or understanding as a natural person, but as I strive to follow what is taught at church and through the scriptures (all very applicable where ever in the world you may be), I have felt the guiding and changing power of God in our family and in my life. Because the church has no paid clergy, we get the privilege of serving (volunteering) each other, so going to church is not an empty experience but full of giving, right there at church. At church, I am a member of our congregation leadership and oversee the youth leadership and programs and well as some other programs. I visit with as many members of our congregation, young and old..experienced, multiple times a week. We talk about their needs (whatever that need may be) and work out a plan or I provide support for them in any I can. My wife and I also were able to teach a marriage relationship class which I loved.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Many think that meeting the missionaries is like meeting a salesperson; they are going to force you or try their hardest to make a deal you really don't want or need. Nothing could be further from the truth. The missionaries are wonderful and kind people, whose purpose and desire is to share a message about Jesus Christ and His Atonement. They share how Heavenly Father really has a plan for you and me, a specific plan which will provide your family with happiness now and an eternally happy family after death. There is no force or alternate motives, just love for you and a desire to share. Show more Show less
