Hi I'm Annie

I am blessed beyond measure because I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. I love reading, music, the outdoors, and most of all spending time with my family. I enjoy getting to know people and what they feel and think about life in general. I love learning new things. Looking to the past teaches me lessons for the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Christ feels true in the center of my heart. I have proven His words true by living them as best I can. When I do live His gospel, I am peaceful and happy even though I am going through one of life's many trials, and when I don't live His gospel, I don't experience this deep feeling of peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means I am trying everyday to become more like my savior Jesus Christ. Some ways I am serving my Savior right now is caring for my husband who is a disabled veteran. I also care for my elderly mother in law by having her live with us and being grateful for her example. I teach a lesson each month in my church's women's organization. Even though I have made many mistakes, I will never give up trying to be more like Him. The Atonement makes this possible and I am deeply grateful for this wonderous gift.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

We have 12 Apostles because this Church is a restoration of the same Church organized by Jesus Christ when he was on the earth. His church had 12 Apostles then, and so it has them now. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I am like every other woman who is desirous to live in such a way that I can have peace and joy in my life. The way I accomplish this as a Mormon woman is by living as my Savior taught me to live. The pressures of life can be tremendous and sometimes it feels like I'm just not going to make it through. But, if I focus on the blessings of my life and keep doing what (from past experience) has taught me brings peace and joy, I come out a little stronger and a little better. I am married and have children, grandchildren and one great grandchild. I have worked full time but am now retired. I try to serve my community. I like reading, sports, music and walks on cool days. Not much sets me apart from any other woman except my firm belief in Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Because I believe Him, I attend regular church services and the temple. I serve as a Teacher at my church. I also help church members with their genealogy. Because of the things I've been willing to try and do, I have been educated spiritually. Are men and women equal? We are children of God with unlimited potential and He has promised us that He will always be with us as we remember Him and keep His commandments. God loves his children, male and female, so much that he sent his only begotten Son to pay the price of justice for us so we wouldn't have to suffer. He suffered for me! He did this for all God's sons and daughters. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

We are children of our Heavenly Father and lived with Him before coming to earth. The family is an eternal unit. When we came to earth we were born into a family. We believe our earthly families can be together forever if we enter into the covenants He requires for this blessing and follow His commandments. Show more Show less
