Hi I'm Danna

I was raised in Wyoming and now live in Colorado. I'm a mom of four beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four beautiful children. I've been lucky to be a stay at home mom, but I'm now looking for a part time job. I like to cross stitch, sew and I'm at a beginner level with crochet. I get the genealogy bug every few months and can spend hours doing research.

Why I am a Mormon

Though many of us Mormons were raised in the church, we all choose as adults whether we want to continue to follow God's gospel. I chose to be married in the temple so I can be with my husband, my best friend, for eternity. Our family can be bound for all time, even after death. Family is so important to me, and I don't want to be without them, extended and immediate, after this Earthly life. My siblings and parent's aren't nearby and I love that the people at church have become as close as family. I love being able to call this person or that for any help I may need with something. I also love being called by these people to be able to help them in their time of need, be it giving their children a ride to an activity or helping with a wedding reception or just to go sit and visit and be a listening ear.

How I live my faith

I am an indexer for the FamilySearch website. I help transcribe information from historical records such as census forms and naturalization records. Periodically I teach an 8 week course to new members on how to do their family history work. I often go visit a few ladies from church to sit and talk about how they're doing and offer any help they may need. Visiting with each other and helping each other brings us all closer.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

In the temple we are able to have baptism for those who have died without the opportunity to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are also sacred ordinances in the temple bind families together for eternity. Through these ordinances we are able to learn sacred eternal truths. Show more Show less
