Hi I'm David Edward

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in South Carolina. I teach to make a difference.

About Me

I'm a single Mormon guy living in the Atlanta area. I am the sixth of seven born to parents in Las Vegas,NV. Our family joined the Church (on my Mom's side) shortly after its organization in 1830. I served in the Texas Houston Mission and am a graduate of the University of South Carolina. All of my family lives in South Carolina so I get there often. I love going places and doing things that involve history and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised in the Church, it was in a very rural area and I had to know my beliefs as well as live them. It was not always easy because there were so few of us. I do remember though, that as I live the gospel I am happy and these are the memories that bring me the most joy.

How I live my faith

I am very active and enjoy talking to others about my faith. I enjoy working with the missionaries and helping out where I see a need. I love to volunteer in the community especially teaching the basics of reading and math. I have served in numerous capacities from seminary teacher to scoutmaster to a counselor in the branch presidency where I lived formerly. I love service! I spend a lot of time helping my aged parents and my brother and sisters. This keeps me very busy. I especially love spending time with my daughter and teaching her the things she needs as she matures. Right now its how to drive a car..: )

What are Mormon Temples used for?

David Edward
Simply put, temples are places where the family is bound together for time and all eternity. The ordinance performed there are for that very purpose. Our ultimate goal is to be worthy to go to the temple and bind our families from the present generation going back. In the temple we make sacred covenants and learn of the divine nature of mankind. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

David Edward
We send missionaries worldwide to share the Gospel that has been a blessing to us and our families. We wish the same joy for all men of all faiths and encourage them to join us in our quest for eternal life in the presence of God. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

David Edward
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by living as he lived. We know how to do this through daily scripture study and constant prayer. As we live this way and serve others we will become more as the Saviour was and be at ease in his presence when we see him again. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

David Edward
We believe the purpose of life is to be born to parents who love each other and teach their children the time honored values that have made our communities and countries great. We believe that as we keep the commandments we can continue our family relationships and live with God, Our Father for all eternity. This is our goal. Show more Show less
