Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a wife, a mother of 9 children, including 2 sets of twins, an educator at a local university and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah and have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I didn't really realize how blessed I was to have the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ until I moved to the midwest and became good friends with people that were not of our faith. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the gospel, that I know where I came from, why I am here on earth, and where I am going. I want my friends to have the peace that the gospel brings. I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy travelling and spending time outdoors. We also enjoy going to our childrens soccer, swimming, cross country, track, wrestling and show choir events.

Why I am a Mormon

From the time I was little I learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ by attending church, and reading from the Bible and Book of Mormon. My knowledge that it was the true church came piece by piece. I have studied and prayed to know if the things that I have read in the Book of Mormon were true, and I know that they are. I have also received a confirmation through prayer that Thomas S Monson is Heavenly Father's prophet, here to give us modern day revelation, such as Moses, Abraham, Noah and other earlier prophets. I am so grateful to know that I have a kind Heavenly Father that loves me and my family and is just waiting to bless us, but we need to ask Him through prayer and to keep his commandments in order to receive these blessings. He has to obey eternal laws, and blessings are predicated upon our obedience. I am very grateful that I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and that I have the Holy Ghost to guide me. Life can be difficult sometimes. Having the Holy Ghost to give me promptings and help me know what to do in difficult situations makes all the difference.

How I live my faith

In the church I, like many women, am a visiting teacher. At least once a month I visit with a few of the sisters in the homes to make sure that they are doing well, and to bring them a spiritual message. I also am the music director for the children ages 3-12. I love singing with them every Sunday and feeling of the Savior's love as we sing. As the Lord said, "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." Though I enjoy my Sunday calling, being a Mormon isn't something you just do on Sunday. We know that to have true integrity we need to follow what we know is true 24/7. I try to follow our 13th article of faith in my life everyday. It states, "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous and in doing good to all men...." I know that when I make mistakes I can repent. As a family we have "Family Home Evening", during which we sing, learn about the gospel, and enjoy each others company. I know that Family Home Evening, daily family & personal prayer, and daily family & personal scripture study have made a huge difference in our lives. They all help to bring peace into our home, which isn't an easy thing when you have 11 different personalities all living under one roof. However, we all have the same goal, which is to return as a family to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ someday.
