Hi I'm Amy!

I am a Health Program Specialist. I like to help others see their own potential and unique talents. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I am a Twenty-something, single student striving to achieve my goals despite having an autoimmune disease. I love to find peace and joy in my journey. No matter what situations we have in life, happiness can be found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am the youngest of four and love my family very much! I have 2 nieces and 3 nephews and love being an aunt! My family is very special and influential to me! Two of my passions are people and music!! I am working on my Bachelors in Health Promotion and Education and plan to get my Master's in Social Work. I love to arrange and compose songs on the piano and share my talents with others. I love to play games, mountain bike, and be with people of any kind!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. The teachings of the Mormon Church coincide with what I personally feel and know is right. I know that living the teachings of the LDS church makes me happy and will continue to make me happy if I strive to live this way. I try to live a life full of love for others, following the Savior's example, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only in my words, but in my actions in every moment.

How I live my faith

I go to a Single's Ward in my neighborhood. This is a congregation of single people ages 18 to 30. I go to church for 3 hours every Sunday and participate in activities with my ward throughout the week. My favorite calling within my ward is Visiting Teaching. Visiting Teaching is something that allows me to get to know and serve some of the girls in the ward. I make friends, share principles of the gospel, and am able to love and feel of our Savior's love he has for each of the Sister's I visit and interact with. I live my faith not only by going to church, activities, and visiting girls, but by living the principles and standards taught within our church. I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ by striving to live a life like Jesus Christ.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Missionaries of the Mormon church serve full-time missions throughout the world or can be service missionaries, where they may possbly live at home and only provide service part-time. These missions are funded by the missionary themselves and through donations voluntarily given by members of the Mormon Church worldwide! Show more Show less

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I am grateful to my parents for raising me with these teachings and values and grateful to my grandparents for joining the church and both for raising my parents in the same environment. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Everything we have is given to us by a Father in Heaven who loves us infinitely. Donating 10% of my income to the Church is a voluntary sacrifice I make to show my dedication to and knowledge of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This sacrifice is one that I personally have witnessed to bless me a hundred-fold in return! Show more Show less
