Hi I'm Laura

About Me

I believe in hard work is the key to success in life and am busy going to school full time while being a mother and wife. I love to create and am always coming up with solutions to "un-fixable" problems.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up my parents taught me about the church. There came a point in my life where I could no longer just rely on their faith but really needed my own. I read the Book of Mormon at the end we are challenged to ask God if the words are true. As I had been reading I had felt the strength and truth of the words. I asked God with faith if the words were true. I felt a peace in my heart. It was a calm feeling and I knew the words came from God. I knew that the principle being taught in church were true. I knew it then and I still know it now. This does not mean that my life has been free of trial. I have lost loved ones, felt alone, been hurt by others. Each time I found strength and peace in my Saviors love for me. My beliefs are what helped me to get through those hard times and it is what helps me to find direction.

How I live my faith

Living my faith has changed over time. The more I understand of Jesus Christ's love for me the more fully I am able to incorporate his teachings into my everyday life. Christ taught us to love our neighbors and share with those in need. Showing love and doing service are things which I find great joy in doing. Living my faith can be as simple as greeting new neighbors, helping someone load their groceries at the store, or praying for those who seem in need.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

We believe that God has given us all that we have. Donating ten percent to the church is how we give back to God what he has given us. These funds help the church to help others. By donating the 10% God promises us that we will be blessed with what we need and more. Show more Show less
