Hi I'm Kristine Haskell

I graduated with a B.S. in Recreation Therapy. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play volleyball and tennis. I enjoy going to the sports my children are involved in. I love the Arts: music, dance, theater! My dream job would be to work at a camp for those with special needs! I have a beautiful family and am the mother of 4 boys and 1 girl! They are amazing! I work with the Young Women in our area and plan quarterly activities, camps and conferences! I love the youth of our area!!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is truth. I was introduced into the church when I was nine. My Aunt and her family were Mormon and we wanted to be involved with a church that focused on family. It has been a blessing in my life. I was so grateful to have had the truth at such a difficult time in my life. I needed to know that my Heavenly Father loved me and that he would answer my prayers and that I was his daughter. And that I could know the truth whenever I asked! I am so grateful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost in my life.

How I live my faith

I serve as the Stake Young Women's President. I love this opportunity! I help to train and support the Young Women's Presidents in our area as well as plan quarterly activities, camps and conferences that include youth groups in 9 congregations. I try to live worthily so that I will not be ashamed when my savior comes again. I honor the body that I have been given and take care of it the best I can. I work to be honest in all my dealings and strive to love my neighbor. I love my family and will serve them to the best of my ability as I strive to teach them to love and follow Christ.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Kristine Haskell
We believe that the Lord gives us commandments to follow. We are commanded to follow Jesus Christ and to become like Him. It is however, impossible for us to be perfect in this life. We can try, but we will fail. Every time we try and fail, we can repent and try again. We know that no unclean thing can enter the presence of God. Yet that is our goal, to live with him again. Because of the Atonement of Christ, our sins can be washed clean. If we truly repent, Christ will make up the difference between our imperfection and His perfection. This is grace. And through His grace, we can live with God again. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Kristine Haskell
We believe in life! God loves all of his children, even the unborn. He sends them here to live. They have a purpose on this earth and we do not have the right to take that opportunity away from those children. If the timing is not right for us, or we did not choose to have sex, then we have the option to give them to other families who can love them and teach them. And they can live happy lives and reach their God given potential. I believe in choice and accountability. Consequences are real..If we choose to have sex and are not prepared to be a parent, then we are taking a risk. Though it is inconvenient to carry an unwanted child, it is the right thing to do and it is the natural consequence of our choice. Show more Show less
