Hi I'm Justin

I play Ultimate Frisbee. I love music. I'm a red head, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from the great state of Colorado. I go to college and I love anything to do with the outdoors camping, sports, biking, Ultimate Frisbee, etc. I love to sing, and listen to music. I support other red heads across the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member the the LDS church. It took a while for me to gain a testimony of this gospel and to come to know if this truly was Christ's church once again upon the earth. But, now I do know after much pray and fasting and seeking to truly understand and know. My testimony wasn't born over night or in one moment, though there are extraordinary times in my life that have served to strengthen my faith and add a more solid witness, my testimony has come as I've faithfully pressed forward feasting upon the word of Christ and done my best to keep and live his commandments. As I've reached out to others and sought to fill their lives with happiness, hope and peace, the Lord has filled mine with the blessings of his love and spirit. This gospel is so true! It only takes time, patience and endurance to know that, to find out for yourself. It doesn't always come easily, and it won't always be right away, but it does come and it is so amazing when it does.

How I live my faith

I just try my best to do what's right and follow the light of Christ and Holy Ghost within me. We've all been given the light of Christ, even those who may not have yet been baptized, and with that, basically our good consience, we know right from wrong good from evil and can make appropriate virtuous and moral decisions. That's how I've lived my faith, by choosing what I know to be morally correct as I've been taught and nurtured in the gospel by loving parents, leaders and mentors. I just try to be a good person though, regardless of faith, be kind, be charitable, love and forgive everyone, be patient, work hard, hope for better things...follow Christ's example. My faith in Christ and his gospel, his church, just helps me do that even more and makes this life all the more bearable.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

"...In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." -Matthew 25:40 "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" If we love others and show that love and manifest it in everything we do, everything else just works out. If we have love as the Savior did, then things are just better. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

He is our loving Heavenly Father with an immortal body of flesh and bone who dwells in the heavens above with his son Jesus Christ. He and his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are all separate and distinct individuals that make up the Godhead, but all are working to bring about the salvation of all mankind and provide the means whereby we may be saved. He, the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ are as real and as tangible as anyone you may know on earth. And as personable and loving as your closest relative or friend. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

It's a commandment from God. And even more importantly I know it is the only way that we can eventually return to live with God again. It is the key to the gate into the entrance of the kingdom of heaven, without which we could not see God again. Show more Show less
