Hi I'm Richard

I am a retired teacher for the deaf and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired teacher for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. I am a certified American Sign Language Interpreter. I enjoy writing music. I am a Husband, Father and Grandfather. I serve on various boards within the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member for over 40 years and currently serve as an Ordinance Worker in the Temple and have held various positions within the church. All of my experience in serving others, reading the scriptures and prayer continually tells me this is His church; The Church of Jesus Christ. He established it and he directs it. Simply put through the Holy Ghost I have a witness that this work is His work.

How I live my faith

I served for sixteen years as a temple ordinance worker. In the past I have served as a Bishop, Counselor in the Bishopric, the High Council, Seminary teacher, Sunday School teacher for the adults, teenagers and children, organist, pianist and several other callings. Presently I also serve has a Home Teacher and Branch Mission Leader in the Lehi Deaf Branch. In addition to serving in the church. I try my best to do good each day. I study the scriptures daily to learn how to change and become more like the Savior.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

One of the greatest sections in the Book of Mormon is the resurrected Jesus Christ appearing to people in ancient America. His appearance, sermons, prayer and the blessing of the children is not only touching, but confirms to the reader the truthfulness of His work. Show more Show less
