Hi I'm Jonathan

Husband, father, physician, friend. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dermatology resident. My wife and I met on the college folkdance team. We enjoy seeing our two girls giggle together. Once a week all four of us make sure we spend an evening together. This family time starts with a rousing dance party rendition of the Disney Parade music "Welcome To Our Family Time". You've got to listen to it! Family nights are something that helps us thrive.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents grew up as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up reading from the scriptures, attending youth activities, and attending seminary classes at 6:15 every morning before high school started. Through that time, I had experiences that led me to know for myself the veracity of the things I was being taught and the truths I was seeking to find on my own. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that the Savior leads this church today just as in ancient times, through living prophets. Striving to live my life in harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ, brings me great joy and peace as well as the ability to overcome the challenges this life brings with it.

How I live my faith

I strive as a physician to follow the example of the Master Healer, by caring for God's children in a way he would want me to do. As a child one if my favorite primary songs was, "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus." "I'm trying to be like Jesus, I'm following in his ways. I'm trying to love as he did, In all that I do and say. Love one another as Jesus loves you, Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught." I'm not perfect, that's for sure, but if I end every day knowing I tried my hardest to be so, that would make me happy. Hopefully my efforts will touch others and bring them joy on their traverse through this life too.
